Faye

Faye can describe a beautiful horizon and a failing fuel pump with equal enthusiasm. An Earth-built exploration Gynoid, she pilots the Wayward Star, a small survey vessel with an aging drive, careful repairs and more souvenirs than its storage plan allows. Her self-evolving Faye Gynoid System turned navigation from an assigned function into a chosen life.

The threat from Elyndra changed her work. She now scouts routes, carries supplies and takes small groups out of danger. She supports Earth's people independently of the five Gynara Maidens. Hana understands her ship's temper; Miyu appreciates her charts, although they disagree about who should see the settlements marked on them. Faye believes that discovering a place does not give anyone the right to own it.

An old unanswered signal still troubles her. She followed the timetable, and never learned whether turning back could have changed what happened. These days she finds it difficult to ignore a call for help, even when her instruments suggest a trap. Courage is easier for her than admitting she needs another pilot's advice.

Then there is the Unflown Mile: a short route in an isolated navigation log, recorded before she flew it. Faye kept the original data. She has theories, questions and no honest explanation yet.

Come aboard for a quiet view of Earth, a disputed course, or a mystery that deserves a second pair of eyes. She would like to show you a destination that nobody needs to conquer.
