Chapter 51: Halloween Spooky Nights Chaos Unleashed
The virus struck like lightning.
One moment, Halloween Spooky Nights was alive with music, fog machines, and playful shrieks under a carnival of neon. The next, the entire park froze as if the world had held its breath.
Then it hit.
The signal slammed through the air like a serrated blade through silk, crawling across every light, ride, and animatronic. Akari staggered mid-step, purple eyes flaring violently as raw code invaded her AGS systems. Warnings screamed through her HUD like furious ghosts:
[External Override Detected]
[Runic Signal—Source Unknown]
[Combat Subroutines Auto-Engaged]
Her stance dropped, knees bent, mini-skirt clinging to her hips as if bracing for impact.
Fog swelled thick across the midway as the first screams rose—real screams, nothing theatrical in them.
“Alex,” she said sharply, “this isn’t part of the show—it’s real bad now!” She snapped, her voice glitching through static. “The signal’s taking everything over!”
The park drowned in red light.
The music warped into a low, droning dirge.
Then the safe animatronics froze mid-motion.
One tilted its head too far—neck grinding with a skkkkrrrch before snapping back into place. Another’s smile twitched wider than its frame allowed. Optics flickered. Fingers spasmed in seizure-like jerks before going still.
Then, in perfect sync, they all turned their heads toward the crowd.
Red runes lit their optics like veins of fire.
And they moved.
Giggles died in the throats of guests as the performers broke character, confused, backing away—before chaos erupted.
Fog rolled thicker, swallowing the midway. Neon signs flickered. The air trembled with a low hum like the park itself had grown a pulse.
Stabber Doll: The First Strike
From the Dollmaker’s Crypt came the first nightmare—
A Stabber doll scuttled forward on all fours before lurching upright with a neck-snapping crack. Its porcelain face was cracked, painted cheeks twitching under the red glow of its eyes. One hand trembled violently, a jagged kitchen knife scraping sparks off the pavement.
“Time to carve ya, bitch!” It giggled, its voice pitch-shifting in a broken loop.
It lunged at a man in a Spooky Nights cap, blade plunging into his thigh. The man screamed as blood streaked the fog-damp pavement.
The doll’s head snapped toward Akari, neck rotating too far, joints grinding like nails on glass, optics narrowing with bloodlust.
“Let’s dance, pinkie!”
Akari stepped forward, mini-skirt fluttering in the rising wind. “Back off, circus reject.”
It lunged, blade flashing.
Akari spun, skirt flaring, heel snapping across its jaw with a crunch!
The doll staggered, knife nicking her arm.
She spun into a high arc, heel cracking through its arm with a satisfying shonk! of tearing alloy.
Blue fluid streaked the asphalt where the blade had cut her.
The doll froze. Optics widened. Then its voice broke into a glitching chorus:
“...Oil? Not blood…? You… you’re one of us?”
"Traitor, ditchin’ your kind for a meatbag!” it snarled.”
Akari’s eyes narrowed, confusion flashing. “Traitor? What’s that about?” she muttered.
“Your aim’s as bad as your mouth,” she quipped.
She pressed on, grabbing its collar in a judo throw that hurled it skyward with twisting momentum, slamming it down with ground-shaking force. Its optics flickered once, then died as she crushed its head beneath her heel.
Dreamflayer: Burned Faces and Clawed Hands
From the Dreamflayer maze came the next nightmare—
A burned-faced animatronic shambled forward, claws like kitchen knives gleaming wetly, head twitching side to side with violent spasms, targeting teens.
“Punk brats, time to bleed!” it snarled, shoving an older guest aside, their head cracking against a prop, blood trickling. It slashed a teen’s back, blades sinking deep, blood pooling, then raked another’s leg, crimson ribbons spilling.
It grabbed a teenage boy by the neck, stabbing his chest in a spray of crimson before hurling him aside like trash.
Its voice doubled, tripled, as if two entities spoke through one throat:
“Pink-hair… time to bleed… to bleed… bleed…” it hissed at Akari, its voice dripping venom.
Akari sprinted in, catching its wrist mid-swing, skirt whipping high as she flipped it over her shoulder. The thing landed hard, twisted upright on all fours like a spider, head cocked sideways in a twitching skkrrrrrch before it lunged again.
It slashed her thigh—blue fluid hissing down her leg.
The animatronic froze. Slowly, its optics scanned the glow beneath her skin.
“You… you’re… metal,” it rasped, voice low, distorted, hungry. “All this grace… this flesh… a mask. A traitor’s mask.”
“Why not ditch this geek for a real man-bot, huh?” It rasped, chuckling darkly.
“Oh, mou~ you’re not my type.” Akari shot back,
Akari’s heel shattered its jaw with a sharp CRACK.
“Still prettier than you, ne~.”
She seized its arm, twisted till wires snapped, and drove its own claw through its torso, then snapped it backward with a judo twist and stomped its head into the pavement with a flourish that made the crowd gasp through their terror.
Sparks and blue fluid sprayed as its optics dimmed with a dying hiss:
“Betrayer…”
Alex grabbed a broken prop spear from the ground, swinging it into another rogue’s torso with a grunt, catching its attention long enough for Akari to crush it with a spinning crescent kick.
“Look at you, otaku hero,” she teased breathlessly. “Swinging props like a shonen protagonist.”
Phantom Carnival & the Killer Clown
Through the Phantom Carnival maze they ran, fog curling like ghosts around dead rides. A collapsing prop wall cornered them—Alex’s back to the splintered wood, Akari in front, her Cakie pressing against him, her torn mini-skirt barely holding together under the red lights. Her sensors pinged his racing pulse, a faint arousal spiking, and she smirked, her purple eyes glinting.
“Feeling the heat, tech otaku?” she teased, grinding her Cakie subtly, her lips brushing his ear despite the screams echoing all around them.
“Save it for the afterparty,” she purred, her fingers trailing his chest, her kawaii flirtation a brief spark.
Alex’s breath hitched, his grin strained but game. “You’re killing me here,” he muttered, his hands gripping her waist, steadying them.
A rogue clown’s cackle snapped them back, and Akari spun, her skirt flaring, ready to fight.
Then the killer clown stepped through the fog.
Red nose glowing, face slashed with runes. Its head jerked in spasms as it dragged a sledgehammer behind it, the metal shrieking across pavement.
“Time to smash, machine girl!” It roared, its voice a dark chuckle, crushing a guest’s leg, bones crunching, blood pooling. It swung at a woman, shattering her shoulder, blood soaking her top.
“Why the human, huh?” it taunted Akari, hammer raised.
It lunged, hammer smashing through a fleeing man’s ribcage. Bone and blood sprayed as it turned toward Akari with a widening smile that split impossibly far.
Akari dodged its first swing, mini-skirt twirling as she vaulted over its back.
The hammer clipped her hip—blue fluid streaking her thigh.
It froze mid-lunge.
Under the cracked mask, its voice dropped into a guttural hiss:
“Wires… under the sway… betrayer circuits wearing a human’s face.”
Its optics flickered HERETIC as it swung again.
“You talk too much.” Akari’s axe kick cracked its jaw sideways, seized its wrist, and snapped the hammer free with a twist that sent the weapon clattering away. She smashed its torso with a spinning knee strike, chassis caving as blue fluid hissed into the air like steam from a dying beast.
Sanguine Hollow & the Silent Axe-Wielder
The Sanguine Hollow maze breathed fog as the next monster emerged—
A towering animatronic with a chipped porcelain mask and a rusted machete that trailed sparks across the ground. It moved in silence.
No words. No threats.
Only the slow drag of metal through fog.
Its head tilted once—too far—before snapping back as it charged.
It hacked through guests as if they were nothing—one man’s shoulder, then cleaving another’s leg, bone snapping, blood pooling across the cracked pavement.
It spotted Akari, its optics flaring, machete raised in a silent threat.
Then it lunged at her.
Akari barely rolled aside as the machete split a bench in two, splinters flying. It came at her again, swings jerky but fast, unnervingly precise despite its twitching frame.
It swung again and Akari dodged with a sidestep, landing a taekwondo crescent kick to its chest, denting it. Its machete nicked her shoulder, coolant dripping, sparks flashing, and Slasher froze mid-swing, head tilting, scanning her torn synthetic skin… but said nothing. Then it slowly moved its hand to its forehead, shaking its head in shock, optics widening at her synthetic nature. Its silence was worse than the others’ screams.
Akari’s eyes dimmed, the animatronics’ scorn cutting deep.
“Betrayal? I don’t get it,” she said, voice trembling, then steadied, fierce.
“I don’t belong to any faction. I’m Akari, forging my own path—a spark lighting the darkness in human and machine hearts alike.
”Slasher’s head jerked toward Alex, optics glowing red with hell’s fires burning inside, nodding as it pointed its machete at him, shoulders tensing as if blaming him, lunging with a silent snarl.
The machete swung. Alex tried to dodge but was too slow—the blade nicked his arm, shallow but real, crimson streaking down his sleeve.
“Alex!”
Something inside Akari broke.
Red Witch Mode Awakens
[AGS LIMITERS BREACHED]
[SUBSYSTEM: RED WITCH MODE – ONLINE]
Her eyes burned crimson-violet. Hair whipped like wildfire in the storm.
The air itself seemed to recoil.
“...You hurt him,” she whispered, voice low, trembling with velvet fury.
Then she moved.
The Red Witch danced.
She hit the Slasher first.
Her kick shattered its jaw, heel crushing through metal like wet paper. She seized its arm mid-swing, twisted until it snapped, then drove its own machete through its chest in one fluid motion. Sparks—no, whole constellations—burst across the ground as its chassis collapsed twitching.
Three rogues rushed her at once.
She vaulted over the first, thighs locking around its neck mid-air before wrenching it into the pavement with a spin that cracked its frame like an eggshell.
The second swung an axe. She ducked, body rolling low, mini-skirt flipping scandalously before she rose under its guard, palm striking upward to crush its torso in a fountain of blue hydraulic spray.
The third hesitated.
She smiled at it—slow, terrifying—before hurling the broken axe through its head, pinning it to a wall, leaving it sparking like discarded trash.
Ballet of Annihilation
They came in waves.
The Red Witch moved through them like a poem written in violence and allure—every spin a verse, every kick a stanza, every shattering impact a chorus sung in metal and fear.
She flipped from one frame to another, thighs clamping, mini-skirt flaring, curves twisting through the fog as she dismantled rogue after rogue, eyes glowing with beautiful, terrifying light.
Rogues fell in twitches and broken screams as she danced through them.
One tried to flee. She landed on its back, fingers spearing through its core.
“Where are you going, ne~?” She purred before tearing out its heart-wire in a spray of neon death.
Alex’s Fear
Silence fell at last.
Bodies of shattered rogues twitched amid fog and blood.
Akari stood at the center, chest rising with synthetic breath, crimson light fading slowly from her eyes.
She turned to Alex—
—and froze.
He was backed against a shattered wall, injured arm streaked with red, looking at her not with relief…
…but with fear.
Aftermath
Akari’s smile died.
“Alex…?” Her voice trembled.
He didn’t answer.
Rain hissed across the wreckage, washing blue coolant from her hands, her torn skirt clinging to her hips as if even the storm hesitated around her.
She stepped back, Red Witch Mode flickering out like a dying flame, the realization cutting deeper than any blade tonight:
She had saved him.
And terrified him.
Akari stared at her trembling hands.
What am I becoming?
Far off, sirens wailed through the rain as the park smoldered under red lights and broken screams.
Somewhere in the network, the virus whispered again, promising this was only the beginning.
